It’s been a hectic spring, and I’m finally coming up for air. 2024 began with an ice storm in Portland and several new teaching opportunities that have kept me busy all semester. It’s been rewarding to focus on dialogue with students while immersing myself in art history and contemporary art to teach about painting hybrids. Now I’m energized to bring my learning back into my studio and travels this summer.
Here are some exhibitions and events I have coming up.

Auction for Portland Public Schools
I’m participating in a fundraiser for Portland Public Schools to support my daughter’s K-8 school. If you’ve been thinking of acquiring a small work, this auction is a great way to do so while simultaneously contributing to a great cause. Our volunteer-run PTSA (Parent Teacher Student Association) raises funds for classroom grants for teachers, educational enrichment opportunities, field trips, buying essential textbooks and library books, hosting events that create community, and filling the funding gaps that we face as a public school.
Last fall’s month-long strike was tough, and PPS faces even more severe budget cuts for the coming year, so this fundraiser is essential for our school. Our auction site is not yet live—please contact me directly to place a bid if you are so inclined. 100% of funds raised will go to our school. Here is my offering:
